March 26 - An open meeting for Grange members and the public, 7:00 - 8:00 pm at the Garcia Grange in Manchester which has been a social hub providing various types of community support for more than half a century. We're looking for a few people who'd like to keep this important resource available. This past year the Grange Hall has been a public venue for many lectures and community potlucks, and it's also been an intimate setting for private weddings and family gatherings. However, one of our most important functions last year, and continuing this year, has been providing a safe place for the Manchester Elementary School 's after-school program, where our children can go each day to get help with homework and learn new things. To keep all these important community services going, we are looking for three people who can contribute one or two hours a week (or less) to fill the Grange officer positions. It would also be helpful to find a few folks who'd be willing to help out occasionally on weekends to maintain the building and make repairs. Please come to this meeting to find out more about what's needed to keep the Grange in operation. Even if you can't help, you might know someone who could. For more information, call the Grange at 882.3425.
