C'mon Home to Eat

A project sponsored by localization groups throughout the county, focuses on eating what is processed and produced within our local food shed (defined as 100 miles from where you live) during the month of October. It invites each of us to ask where does our food come from and what is and isn't produced locally? Anderson Valley Food Shed initiated this month long celebration of our local food shed last year and this year we are working to have it be a county wide project. CELL (Coast Economic Localization Link) will be sponsoring various events to celebrate and educate about what is here already and what do we need to be developing in terms of local infrastructure to help sustain our communities.
